Chadwell Animal Hospital opened its doors in September 2003. It was a collaborative effort by Dr. Keith Gold and Dr. Ruby Schaupp (a husband and wife team). Both had worked at various animal hospitals in Baltimore County. This would be the first time they would join forces, each bringing their experiences, ideas, and skills to create a veterinary hospital with a professional environment that would be efficient, always educational, compassionate, and fun!
The hospital is a 7,500 square foot facility with 8 exam rooms, 2 surgical suites, and a surgical prep room. There are separate dog, cat, and exotic wards and an isolation room with its own ventilation. The intensive care unit is located just off the treatment area where those patients are monitored continuously throughout the day. There is a special procedures room for radiographs, endoscopy, and ultrasound.
