Dr. Gold has been a Maryland resident since 1973. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in biology in 1986. He then went on to complete a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Ross Universityin 1989. Dr. Gold practiced at the Falls Road Animal Hospital for 14 years prior to opening Chadwell Animal Hospital in September 2003.

He was responsible for starting the exotic animal practice, raising the quality and level of care for the exotic species. Wildlife rescue, exotic animal medicine, and surgery have always been his passions. He is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, AAV, and ARAV.
